MEET THE TEAM
I began my martial arts training in 1984 at Fred Villari’s Studios of Self Defense in Derry, New Hampshire at the age of 12. I continued through High School and attained the rank of Brown Belt. I then moved to Florida to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach where I earned a BS in Aeronautical Science. Over the years, I dabbled in other martial arts but never had the same passion for them as I did for Shaolin Kempo Karate. In 2008, I was able to continue my Villari’s training and in 2010 I was awarded my 1st degree Black Belt. In 2020, I attained the rank of 4th degree Black Belt under the guidance and instruction of Master Mark Pearson. As a 4th Dan, I also practice and study Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong under the supervision of 10th degree Master Robert Bombalier.
As a Black Belt, I realized what a difference Villari’s Martial arts has made for me over the years. As a child, VMA helped instill in me the values & discipline necessary for completing a degree in a very challenging University. As an adult, I was inspired and motivated by VMA to live a happier and healthier lifestyle. For me, the Martial Arts is not just about kicking and punching; it is about living the martial arts lifestyle for both balance of body and of mind. With the unique experience of being a student of VMA as a child and as an adult, I can personally attest to the benefits of the Shaolin Kempo Karate system. This realization sparked my desire to share this knowledge with others. It is through the Martial Arts that I know I can help make a positive difference in others and in the community.
